Chainlink and its CCIP protocol has been launched on Ethereum’s layer 2 scaling solution, Arbitrum One, aiming to facilitate the development of cross-chain decentralized applications (DApps).
Blockchain oracle network Chainlink has integrated with Ethereum’s layer-2 scaling protocol, Arbitrum, to drive the advancement of cross-chain decentralized applications.
The partnership between the two protocols was unveiled as they launched the Chainlink Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) on Arbitrum One on September 21, granting developers access to Chainlink’s solution, which leverages Arbitrum’s capabilities for high throughput and cost-effective scaling.
This collaboration between CCIP and Arbitrum One’s ecosystem is expected to unlock various use cases, including cross-chain tokenization, collateralization, blockchain gaming, and data storage and computation.
Johann Eid, Chief Business Officer at Chainlink Labs, emphasized the role of Arbitrum in alleviating transaction congestion on Ethereum’s base layer and serving as a foundation for the development of decentralized applications (DApps).
“CCIP now gives these users access to a highly secure and easy-to-use interoperability protocol built on Chainlink’s time-tested infrastructure, powering cross-chain smart contracts in a way that will open up new avenues of growth, accessibility, and innovation.”
As many Web3 developers actively seek a means to transfer tokens, send messages, and trigger actions across different blockchains, the CCIP has emerged as the ideal solution to encompass all of these capabilities. It’s important to highlight that developers will also enjoy enhanced security measures for executing their tasks, thanks to the reliable Chainlink oracles supporting the system.
Launching on Arbitrum represents a strategic move for Chainlink, which has been actively focusing on its growth and expansion efforts. Arbitrum stands out as one of Ethereum’s prominent scaling solutions, boasting its dedicated community and user following. This partnership is set to create a collaborative synergy that will significantly contribute to the growth and expansion of both blockchain protocols.
A.J. Warner, Chief Strategy Officer at Offchain Labs, expressed, “builders and applications on Arbitrum now have access to the CCIP Network, providing a secure, reliable, and easy-to-use solution for developers… We are excited to see the benefits it brings to those already building, or seeking to build on Arbitrum One.”
Exciting news for two great projects, Arbitrum and Chainlink.
